a study on factors influencing the use of library resources by agricultural students

the purpose of this study is to investigate factors affecting the use of library resources by agricultural . year 2002 to 2003,at agricultural college. tehran university. f test indicated that the extent to which graduate students used central library resources. the way of offering services and communication with clients. facilities. and having up-to-date resources. friedman test showed that there was a significant difference among student s with regard 10 the extent to wich they used central library. specialized library. and of college libraries. in terms of the number of hours they used library resources and the number of books borrowed . regarding teaching and learning strategies. there was a significant difference among students for doing schoolwork and thesis; students used specialized library of department mostly. stepwise regression showed that doing thesis descended respectively 2.8% and 19,)% of (he changes in use of central library and specialized library of department. regression results showed that j7.5% of changes in the use of central library resources by student was dependent of factors including offering services . availability of attending library and persian specialized resources to being up-to-date
